NCL Builds Facility at Menomonee Falls Site - See Our Groundbreaking photos

A commercial printing firm based in the City of Pewaukee built a $3 million facility in Menomonee Falls, and will shift some of its operations there.

NCL also eventually plans to develop a 56,000-square-foot addition on the 6.7-acre site, Dorner said Friday.

The firm, which specializes in printing labels and coupons, now has operations at two facilities, at N29-W22960 Marjean Lane, Pewaukee, and 3265 Gateway Road, Brookfield. NCL will initially move about 35 employees to the new building, starting in May 2011, said Richard Mueller, company chairman. He said additional employees will eventually be moved there, probably in 2012. The Menomonee Falls facility eventually could have around 120 employees if the addition is built, Mueller said.

The company now has around 220 to 230 employees, he said. NCL will keep its Pewaukee facility, Mueller said. He said the company's customers want to make sure NCL has two locations to prevent work from being interrupted in the event of a fire, or other catastrophe. Mueller also said he's being cautious with his expansion plans.

"Our business is good, everything is fine," he said. "But we don't know where the economy is going." Link to Journal Sentinel Article.

Variable Data Ensures Security, Integrity

Variable data and numbering is produced through high speed, inline printing. NCL can print sequential or random numbers on materials of all sizes and in virtually any orientation.

A key use for sequential numbering is to help prevent coupon fraud. The numbers are entered at the redemption center and duplicate numbers are not honored.

NCL can also produce random numeric or alpha-numeric codes. These codes are often used for sweepstakes, free online downloads or online contests.  The random aspect prevents people from determining the next “logical” number and entering it the contest.

If you have a need for random or sequential numbering, contact NCL Graphic Specialties about inline printing capabilities.
